FIP Warrior:

Zuko

Zuko was found by a neighbor wandering in and out of people's houses. As a foster I took him so he could find his furever home. He was such a loving and playful cat at 4 months old. But after getting neutered and vaccinated he became lethargic and wouldn't play anymore. I had lost 2 other kittens to FIP that same year. So I suspected wet FIP immediately as his abdomen was swelling. Once diagnosed I found the FIP Warriors and contacted the head of my foster group who put me in contact with my Admin, Julie. I learned how to do the shots and Zuko began his FIP Journey. He lost his fluid around 2 weeks later. His personality came back about the same time. He was playing again. Shot time became a struggle as he got stronger. He became picky about food so he got a smorgasbord every night! Midway bloodwork needed improvment so we increased his dosage. After this we had to raise money because I couldn't afford to do this on my own. Wonderful friends, family and neighbors swooped in to help! At the end of 84 days his bloodwork hadn't budged. So we extended treatment and increased dosage while adding Proboost to his diet. 2 weeks later Zuko was cured on Christmas Eve 2020! He has been healthy ever since! He's a bit chonky now since he gets to eat what ever he wants for meal time! He fought hard and is an FIP survivor.
