Viper is cured!!!!!!!! Thank you to all the FIP Warriors ! My admin Nicole Jacque and also Peter J Cohen for getting me through this journey. this was the hardest thing I have ever done and along with this group we save my daughter’s cats life. I am so grateful to have been told about the group! 7 years ago I watched my new kitten die of FIP and when I found out I could save my daughter’s cat we were onboard with treatment immediately. Viper is officially cured!! His Last day of observation was December 17th he had his last set of labs yesterday. The Vet and my admin agree this young man is cured. Please don’t give up on your cat’s hang in there! We bought meds 2 weeks at a time for budget reasons ( delivery with post office was fine during that time) I know the mail has slowed down we cut it close a few times so order meds accordingly. We hired a vet tech day 60 as he was so strong I lost my confidence injecting I was a nervous mess crying . Cats know when you are stressed so that made him more difficult to restrain I was so emotionally invested my husband daughter and I were in tears at times wasting meds getting scratched bit etc. I was on antibiotics from scratch infections a few times. I restrain paitients and children in the hospital I’ve worked at for 28 years but this was absolutely too much for me once he was strong enough to break free from any wrap or restraint and his skin was so hard. We shaved him completely. Always rotated locations etc. You can do this!!! Please stick with it . We have a strong Hulk of a cat! I am forever thankful and if you live in Los Angeles and need my help if I can drive to you ( no freeways) I will drive over and help you with injections & restraining.
