I was unaware of FIP, I was unaware that my cat was even sick. She was always a skinnier, timid cat but I thought that was just her personality. She was extremely sweet and loving. When she got spayed, I thought maybe that would help her be more comfortable and relaxed, but two days after her surgery she became unable to move, throwing up, fever, and mini seizures. Our amazing surgeon did everything she could, but Ron sadly died a day later. None of us knew it was FIP until the necropsy.
