Sweet Pip became sick at 5 months old. We had only had him for 2 months. He lost weight, appetite, energy, and had a fever. I brought him into the vet and next thing I knew I was at the emergency vet and they were telling me Pip had a fatal viral disease and there was nothing I could do. Luckily the vet mentioned there was a treatment I could seek out through a group called FIP Warriors. It has been a emotional rollercoaster and wild ride but Pip is now big and healthy and almost through his GS treatment. Fingers crossed that his next bloodwork comes back looking healthy and good enough to be cleared to end treatment. He had the dry form of FIP with nuero symptoms of PICA, woggly legs, and general clumsiness but that has gone away so far.
