Pebbles

I adopted Pebbles when he was about 9 weeks old. While I was at a rescue adopting another kitty. Pebbles jumped on my shoulder, sneezed all over me, and wouldn't leave my side. The rescue said he was abandoned in a box by a river with his sisters and found by a Good Samaritan. His sisters were all adopted, but Pebbles had a tougher time finding a home. He had gooey eyes along with some other health issues and was not healing in the overpopulated rescue. That was when I knew I had to help him. From the day I got him, he has been in and out of the vet for URI, fungal infections, and parasites you name it. He is now 3 years old and although he had a really rough start in life, he is the sweetest, most gentle and mellow boy. He completely changed my life and home dynamic, and I love him more than I can express with words. Pebbles was dx with asthma at first, as we all know FIP is hard to dx. Pebbles was sent home with a steroid. He didn't improve much, so the vet added an antibiotic. He couldn't keep the medicine down and threw up alot. He was sleeping a ton, was very lethargic, and a month later was down to 8lbs. By the end of October 2020 Pebbles was back at the vet with a high fever and jaundice, and appeared really dazed. The vet felt a large mass in his abdomen and his bloodwork was horrible. The vet said Pebbles may have cancer or dry feline infectious peritonitis or FIP. Until recently, there was not tx for FIP other than palliative care, and the disease was fatal in nearly all cases. This wasn't anything I could have ever imagined dealing with and I was devastated. When I first met Pebbles, I was given the opportunity to help save his life. Since brining him home, he brought so much joy to mine. We've been through a lot together and I wasn't going to give up on him. I began extensive research on FIP, I read many testimonials from others to better understand my options. Im very thankful I decided to try GS for Pebbles. Pebbles was a true champion through all of the treatment (injections) showing strength, determination, grace humor, and most of all love. Im very thankful for taking this journey with Pebbles for the healthy, happy life this sweet boy deserved. Pebbles has been cured since July 2021. His granuloma mass shrunk and he is living his best life!!
