Hello all,This past week we learned that our beloved cat, Milo, has been diagnosed with FIP. Milo is 8 months old, and we noticed when we adopted him (about 2 months ago) that something was off. We weren't sure what was going on, but within the first month he tested positive for Giardia so we treated him with antibiotics. Then, about two weeks ago we noticed that his abdomen was retaining fluid, but he was having normal bowel movements. We took him to the vet, and they took his temperature, took note of symptoms, and did blood work. All of his lab values were indicative of FIP, along with his elevated temperature and abdominal fluid. We are torn that our precious kitten and best friend is sick. Both Matt and I are in college and do not have the funds to support Milo's treatment. We have been able to get him started on Capella, but we will not be able to fund his full course of treatment.
