In September of 2021 I noticed my baby boy Finn had a cloudy eye. Being hopeful, I thought it was just pink eye for cats and rushed him to the vet for some eye drops. After over a month of different vet visits and exams, his eye condition never got better. In November 2021, I saw significant change in his behavior. There was no more running, jumping or playing. Instead there was sleeping, resting and little to no energy. That is NOT normal for a 6 month old cat, so I had several tests done amounting to over $1,000 in vet visits. All the results were negative...except for possible FIP. At first all I felt was disbelief, how could this happen to Finn? The most lovable and snuggly of cats. Then the tears came and the worry...but I found FIP Warrior's later that same day and WOW --I felt hope instead of anguish. We are almost 2 weeks into our journey of beating FIP and Finn is already eating more, chasing his tail like he used to, and is overall back to being himself! With all the previous tests and the ongoing shots that are costly, I worry that my finances may not be in the best state. You see, I have 2 cats and my other kitty had urinary stones occur just 4 months prior to noticing Finn's decline and that set us back $2,000 with insurance as well. I am reaching out to fellow Warriors and supporters to try and raise any amount of money, a $1 goes a long way in the fight to beat FIP!
Thank you for taking the time to read our story so far. Finn will beat FIP and I will not give up on him!
