FIP Warrior:

Elwood

We adopted 1-year-old brothers Jake & Elwood in May 2020. Jake almost immediately started walking oddly, and we wasted precious months trying to figure out his symptoms. Finally vet said neuro FIP and advised euthanasia. Jake started having seizures. We heard about the treatment and tried to start injections, but Jake died hours after the 2d shot; we were too late. Then his brother started swaying in back. We couldn't believe it. This time we started treatment right away, with our vet's support on bloodwork and weight checks. We decided to use pills because these brothers were born to a feral mom and wouldn't tolerate daily handling for shots. Within a week, Elwood, who was a petite 7 lbs, ataxic and anemic, started to stabilize. In a month, he was back to normal. At the end of 90 days, he weighed 13 lbs and bloodwork was normal. He is now 9 months post-treatment, fat as a pony, and thundering around the house like one, too!
