FIP Warrior:

Elsie

Our story starts in January of this year. I noticed my Elsie had what I thought was a cold. I brought her to our vets the next morning and all her symptoms eluded to the same thing, it's a cold. Antibiotics were given but no improvement. After 5 days I rang my vet and said I felt there was something much more serious going on, she stopped playing with her sister was so lethargic started to go off her food and then developed the leg wobbles. I knew she was really ill and my heart started to break. I had heard about the FIP warrior group through my fabulous breeder so I was already prepared for what was to come, even though I was sick to my stomach. Fast forward after loads of tests and waiting for results to come back(which were taking ages because of the pandemic) I made a 2 hour drive to meet a lovely lady who introduced me to the FIP medication. Elsie was in the car with me that night and was getting weaker and weaker. Although we still didn't have the results myself and my vet knew it was FIP as there was no denying it at this point. Instead of waiting for what turned out to be another 5 days I started injections that night through all the advice from my unreal admin/group. I dread to think what would have happened if we hadn't started when we did. Our vets were also so supportive, they let me practice injections until I got more confident with it. It was so hard to do every day, there were lots of tears, she was so upset there was biting, but at the back of my mind I was thinking I am not letting you go Elsie bear and you are going to come through this. The more positive I became the more confident I became injecting, oh and an injection jacket also helped! Fast forward we didn't get the results we wanted after 84 days but closer to 100. Then we were placed in observation and did our final bloods. When we got the bloods back I knew they were good but you still worry. Again our fab admin team were as happy as me to come back and say my girl was CURED. It was honestly the best feeling ever. I was so proud of my girl. This medication saved her life it was honestly incredible to see the change in her. Don't get me wrong if she has so much as a SNEEZE now I worry but I think that goes hand in hand with any pet parent who's seen their little love so ill. As I type this she's running around jumping on her sister, has a new baby brother she adores and is just living her best life. I am so unbelievably thankful that we got here

❤️

She's my little super star.

I honestly cannot recommend this medication enough, you have a team in contact whenever you need them so you don't feel like you are on your own. The support groups are so informative and if you've had a bad injection and something didn't go right rest assured there's at least 5 other cat parents going through or have gone through the same thing. There is just so much support so don't even think twice if this is something you need to do for your fur baby. You won't look back
