View All FIP WarriorsCoco was diagnosed with wet FIP just shy of her 2 year birthday. We never heard of this disease and were devastated when our vet told us that she had maybe 2 weeks to live. She was not eating and had no interest in life in general. It was so hard to watch her go downhill in front of our eyes. She lost weight and just began to vanish. We contacted our breeder and she put us in touch with an admin at FIP Warriors. The admin suggested we start treatment immediately and educated us on what to expect. We began the shots and on day 3 of the shots Coco actually ate a morsel of food on her own. Day 4 & 5 her appetite increased and she used her scratching post for the first time in 3 months. She began to purr and was beginning to show signs of improvement. This continued during her entire treatment - every day better than the one before. We are now almost 1 year after observation and our vet calls her his poster cat for FIP. We were lucky to have a vet that was supportive and taught us how to give the shots. My husband and I were blessed to be able to afford the treatment. We know that it is not inexpensive. Such a shame that our vets are not given access to this miracle treatment. So many more kitties lives would be spared and so much heartache would be eliminated.
