This is my daughter’s kitty, Chicken. She was adopted 4 months ago after losing our 15 year old cat. Our other kitty, Waffles ,would just cry all night until the day we adopted her and she had a buddy again. We decided they went together like Chicken and Waffles and that’s where she got her name. She was the most loving spunky kitty one day and the next she could barely move and had gone blind. She was diagnosed with FIP, a disease we were told was fatal and she would deteriorate quickly. Not wanting my daughter to lose her BFF, I researched and found another option. There is a highly successful treatment that consists of very expensive medication that I have to inject for 84 days straight on top of having bloodwork done every month. This is a very stressful and scary situation, but by day five of meds, she is doing amazing and playing again with Waffles. I hate asking for help, but the fight is far from over and we can’t do this alone. I just want to give this amazing kitty a fair shot at a long, happy life.
