We adopted Bucky a couple weeks ago from Animal Crusaders of Texas. He's been through a lot. He started out as a very affectionate and vocal cat. But before long we noticed his behavior slowly changing. In hindsight he was likely sick when we got him. We're new to cats and have come to really love ours, and so it broke our heart when we were told Bucky would have to be put down. He had gone down hill very suddenly and was diagnosed with FIP by a great local vet. Bucky was nearly unresponsive, was suffering greatly, had very cloudy eyes, had lots of neurological symptoms (he's still struggling with that one), and had stopped eating/drinking/using the bathroom for two or three days. We were within 30 minutes of taking him to his appointment to be euthanized as he was in incredible pain. But the folks over at ACT jumped into action and got us in touch with Texas FIP Warriors, and they took immediate steps to get Bucky the help he needed. That was four days ago. The change we've seen in him already is miraculous. Bucky is looking great but still has a long way to go. We as a family are struggling to pay for the medication he needs. If there's anything at all you can do to assist in his recovery, we are humbled and grateful for the support. Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance.
God bless!
