Hey, Everyone!

Bringing light onto the subject of the new virus affecting many cats. It's controversial to treat cats with FIP because the drug used to treat FIP is a new one.

Apparently all cats have FIP, but, only some ever have to deal with the mutation of the virus.

What Is Feline Infectious Peritonitis(FIP)? It's a serious and often fatal viral disease that affects cats. It is caused by a type of coronavirus known as a feline coronavirus (FCoV) and can affect cats of any age, breed, or gender.

We rescued Dusty from the street and weren't prepared for the cost of this type of treatment. He needs labs and exams and medication. He came to us when we had just moved into a new place.

I hate to say it, but, I believe in the support of my friends and family in crisis like this. I wasn't going to euthanize Dusty when there's a chance he can survive.

If I'm one of many people that it takes to have to lower the cost of this new drug, then, that's what's going on.

Dusty's going to be a part of a research group where he will be tested and his results will be reviewed from taking the new medication called Harmony. If your cat has FIP, we encourage you to stay in communication with FIP warriors on Facebook and to support me.

Best,

Sierra

We took Dusty to the vet and he no longer has a fever of 105°. We got his blood work done and ordered pills for him. We are happy about that because he has sores from the injections.
Thanks again for your help!
This is Dusty at the vet. He trusts that we're saving him and loves to be alive!!!

Best,
Sierra and Dusty
