FIP Warrior:

Sparrow

I adopted Sparrow from the local shelter on 7/27/24. They told me she had a medical waiver that needed signing because she was on a special diet for GI problems and mentioned that she had recently recovered from a respiratory infection. They insisted she was a completely healthy 3-year-old cat that was ready to be adopted and had no other medical needs beyond the special food. Once I brought her to her routine first visit with my personal vet, it became clear that there was a lot more going on. I had never heard of FIP before 8/10/24. We’ve done several tests and confirmed that FIP is almost certainly what she’s dealing with. I’ve only had her for 2 weeks and I was picturing a decade or more time with her. My vet connected me with the pharmacy that sells the FIP medication, but it’s costly. I want to do anything I can to keep Sparrow in my life as long as possible.
