Smokey continues to do great and is in good overall health. Currently, his doctors are deciding if they should remove some scar tissue under the skin in his shoulder areas caused by all the injections he received during the drug trial. There is a small chance they could turn cancerous but we have to weigh that against putting him through a surgery. They also want xrays of his teeth since some never grew out and they could do that at the same time as the surgery. As long as the scar tissue is not getting larger (It is not), we are in no rush to make a decision. Smokeys doctors continue to study him and learn more about how to end FIP. We continue to enjoy every day we have him and as those days turn into months, we gain confidence that his FIP will not relapse.
