The number one thing you can do to help speed a cure for FIP is to sign up for monthly donations. Most people do not realize how expensive fund raising is. That is why we created ZenByCat to be a low cost focus point for channeling funds to researchers. We limit overhead to 10%, ensuring that 90 cents of every dollar donated actually goes to the two charities we fund: SOCKFIP and Winn Feline Foundation Bria Fund. We fund Dr Pedersens SOCKFIP because he is one of the leading experts in FIP research and his teams recent advances actually put near-death FIP kittens into long term remission (hopefully cured). We fund the Bria Fund because it funds many other researchers and thus we have a greater chance for overall advancement. So even though asking for money is one of the least fun things I can think of doing, I am going to be asking people directly to start donating. The amount is not as important as the regularity of giving. Ask your friends too. i am happy to answer ANY questions about our fundraising efforts. I can be reached via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, ZenByCat.org, or email (peter@ZenByCat.org). Please become an active FIP human Warrior. We CAN make a difference.
Short list of how you can become an active FIP Warrior:
1) Sign up for monthly donations of $10 - http://www.ZenByCat.org/give-to-fip-reserach
2) Start buying items from companies that are supporting the fight against FIP. We are adding them here: www.ZenByCat.org/cat-stuff
3) Sign up for Amazon/smile program and designate ZenByCat as the charity you wish to support. Go to smile.amazon.com and then search for ZenByCat and select. From then on, make sure you always sign into smile.amazon.com before you shop. You get the same prices as before but Amazon will donate a percentage of your sale to ZenByCat. Please share this with friends.
4) Share our site and posts and ask your friends to start donations too.
Our first video is approaching 13 million views! Imagine how much money we could send the researchers if only 1% of those people signed up to donate.
